Cahide Bodur was born in Germany, Pinneberg and raised in Turkey, she moved to London in 1991, when she worked in administrative roles untill she studied Fashion Design and Realisation at London College of Fashion 2007-2011.Her inspirations come from her cultural roots and concentrate on the social and cultural aspects of society together with her own emotional journey. This combination enables Cahide to create unique and contemporary silhouettes and textiles. She is experimental with style and techniques in both 2D and 3D where she uses collage, hand drawing, hand stitching, textile manipulation and print. Her unique style gives her work a distinctive and contemporary style utilising an unusual combination of fabrics and colour.
